Good camera for a point and shoot.
I like the fact that the camera uses AA batteries. That’s one of the reasons I bought it. I own another Canon camera that takes really good pictures but I wanted one that I could…

I just need a camera for fun. . and I had a Canon before. I have not liked my old has a rechargeable battery that lasted a long time and I am very happy to find a man like that is a million times better in quality and it takes a lot of batteries that last! I LOVE IT! Takes lots of pictures and it is super easy to use. . . comparing to my former (which is an ELPH), it takes much faster pictures even if you do hold the shutter button to take a picture which is annoying to have to say to other people 's using. Overall, I highly recommend it. . takes great pictures!

I had this camera for a few days and already I love it. The issues that attracted me to this day:
1 - Very low shutter lag. you can take a picture quickly, and accurately capture the scene you want (not the stage 2 to 5 seconds after you point your camera).
2 - takes standard AA rechargeable batteries. also, you can turn off the LCD and use the old school viewfinder to save battery power in a pinch.
3 - the 'print' button is programmable, so you can use for a variety of other functions (useful for me because I almost never connect my camera directly to a printer).
4 - the overall design of the device is intuitive and easy to use.
The only quasi-stellar aspects of this camera is its size. It is not bulky, but it is much tinier cameras in this category on the market. I was not quite prepared to remove a star for that, if, as a reduction in the average size would probably be a price increase. I think the trade-off is a good thing.
Overall, I highly recommend this device for point-and-shoot purposes. It is easily my favorite of the ~ 5 digital cameras I've collected over the years.

Another Great Canon Product
Great sporty camera. Love that it uses AA batteries and has a REAL viewfinder (which is essential in bright sunlight or when running low on battery power).

While I would give this 4 1 / 2 stars, but I can not so I settled for 5 because I think it is better than a 4. I'll cover why in construction.
Overall, after trying around 8 cameras, I finally found one which does everything I need. The images are true to life, and that's what counts. Most cameras can shoot outside, but when it comes to people domestically I do not want their faces blurred or washed in color. This camera is perfect every time in the portrait mode with face detection and marco enabled. This camera may not be the smallest or the lightest, but it is easy to use and more round battery area, it is stable in my hand. For me, there are 2 things that Canon could have done to improve this device. Get rid of the viewfinder and the larger screen as they did in the SD790. Who uses the most with sights on the screen pictures? Next make two versions of the device with and without the small square of lithium batteries. That would give people the opportunity to have a camera or thin for those who love big.
Advantages:
* Plenty of space to customize the settings
* Takes top notch videos, get you a + 8gb memory card and you can take hours of video without a camcorder
* 10MP is a bit blurry as I tried. The images remain clear
* About 12 scene modes not easy, automatic, and the ISO. To find all additional Scene modes the camera to SNA and click the button function. From there you will have more options stage. Most of them you can control the settings. A more practical scenes that will be used per day.
* Zero problems of red eye
* Comes with 1 small booklet setting up and the rest is on the CD. It's beautiful as I often forget brochures and then there's finding a place to store them.
* This unit can be targeted to the pre-adolescents and adolescents, but believe me all ages will find this device useful. I'm not even close to being a teenager.
* Did I mention real life photos? If so, it deserves a mention. There are few different colors of real life. Usually, the neon colors when photoed which is typical of most cameras. Everything else is just color.
* Can make the customization in video mode and you can zoom in video mode. A few cameras, I have not tested or zoom zoom
* The eye of a camera in the middle. Too many of them have cameras on the side can cause stand.
* The curve for the batteries, it is very easy to organize and adjust the zoom. He also hitting the shutter button easy.
Disadvantages:
* A little heavy and bulky, but not different from the size and weight that most cameras use AA batteries. As I mentioned above the camera is stable in the hand. Not a handheld device. Get your camera case.
* 4x optical zoom 5x + is ok but would be better for this device. If you pass the optical zoom digital zoom is useless. Go in determining the optical zoom past on the 3rd may adjust the images blurred. Be sure to use the method of Marco during the zoom. I also found that even if it is not fire keeping the population in the face detection really helps when you zoom.
* Easy to use, for the most part, but I had to do some research to find out how to get to the scene of other modes.
About the color:
* It is not as rosy as you see the pictures. This is a cut baby pink. I would say several shades lighter than the image.
How they could improve:
* Screen size standard, but they could have increased the camera to call and examine with a 3inch screen. It's very little makes a huge difference
* Plenty of scene modes practices, but a little more would be good for travel
* Instead of turning the dial for filming scenes of options and then having to click on the function for the rest, it would have been nice to have a button that displays all the shooting options / scenes
* It has a button to Face Detection, but only if they also had a search function more and more that the face would be really nice and less work.
* Different sound options. Most cameras come with different buttons / shutter sound options so you can change the sound. This is volume.
* Because of the camera are not as small as the Canon might have offered an elegant case combo pack
I realize that I just mentioned the camera is bulky, but I want to emphasize that it is not huge. When compared to say the Canon SD1100 IS yes it is bigger and heavier but the quality of this camera is for me 3xs better than the SD1100 IS. I tried several Canon cameras and some other brands. This camera to all classified and one that I keep. We sometimes have to compromise quality for size.
I used this camera since I bought a lot and everyone asks me about it. During a part of the new year was a little shocked by the price relative to their much higher price that the cameras had been less than perfect images, and often having to take the picture. When I get a chance I will download some pictures to help readers see the quality.

This Camera Sucks!
I was really excited to get this camera, but that excitement has faded. The booklet it comes with only has the bare necessities in it.

I hate this camera
I bought this camera for Election Night 2008. I ordered it from AMAZON.
I can take good out side shots. I use high end rechargables.

A little heavy but hardworking!
I just used this camera for a trip with my family. It handled over 275 shots (many with flash) on two little AA batteries. Very impressive.

Little camera, a lot of value
I bought an E1 for myself earlier this year and absolutely love it. The portability, solid construction, fast power up, quality of shots, ease of use, and the ability to shoot…

Great camera, great value
Well worth the money. Replaced two dozen pink roses for Valentines Day and was a much bigger hit.
