Good buy!
I have had this camera for about a year now. I just LOVE it! I looked at a lot of cameras and features and ended up purchasing this camera. It takes quick clear pictures.

Absolutely love it!
Great camera! The only drawback is that sometimes the pictures come out blurry. Just play with the settings and you can fix it though. =)

I owned several cameras, film and digital, which is by far the best digital point-and-shoot I've ever had. I must confess it took me a long time to decide on buying a Casio as opposed to Cannon, Nikon, Pentax or, as I had a very good experience with them.
And you'll have a bunch of pictures of the sample. Use the left-right-up-down buttons to navigate to the image that is similar to what you shoot, press OK, and the camera is fixed for this type of image (such as flowers, portrait, self sports, night scenes, etc, etc..)
But my wife is supposed to be the main user of this new camera, so when she saw in a shop, she was sold on it because the device is very small and very beautiful. She loved the green (which is actually a yellow-green) we paid $ 10 more than the black and won.
For me, it took a lot more to be convinced, here are my views on this subject:
Advantages:
- Very good quality pictures (the auto focus works very well and the system of multi-point handles well in most situations, including more difficult shots (like high contrast, back lit of subjects, moving subjects, etc)
- I love that you can easily switch between the standard format (1. 33 ratio), film format (3:2 ratio) or widescreen (16:9 format).
- Body metal, made to fill the unit strong and you can get a good grip and stability.
- Easy to switch between different menus changing formats, flash modes, ISO sensitivity, the different timer settings, shooting modes (such as single, continuous, etc.), automatic shutter, face recognition and modes.
- Although I consider face recognition a gimmick and I never use it in real life, I tried and it works surprisingly well! Not only the device to find and focus on the face, but you can also Auto-Shutter to take the picture when the subject smiles. There's more: you can save multiple faces in the camera's internal memory, and when they are in a larger group, it is their faces and focus on them so they leave the best! I tried the freakish feature and it works!
Also, it has many other features of self-Tir, which some people might want, I tried, they work, but I'm not normally needed most.
- The video quality is very good. I have wide screen and the highest quality and is exceptionally good, I say at least, as a DVD (it is also very well save the noise, not a camera with its own noise).
- It has its own button video recording, so you do not need to go all the parameters to begin filming. You press the shutter button on top, you take pictures, or if you press the shutter on the back, you are shooting (press again to stop). It can not easier or faster.
- If you do not like to mingle with the settings, you will find the May "Best Shot", which defines a very simple and very useful. You click the "BS" button (funny name …
- I like the way of burst shooting (aka CS - Shooting continuously), which has several parameters:
CS - shoot quality photos to you as quickly as possible;
CS-FAST shoots lower resolution pictures and stores them in internal memory. I had about 4 to 5 frames per second in this mode, and the quality is good enough to print 5×7 "pictures. It is a life saver when your child shakes hands with the school, when they make a karate jump, or when they throw the ball. Normally, you press the shutter of the camera and hope takes the picture at the right time. With this, you press the trigger a little earlier, hold it until the child is by and before you know you have a series of photographs taken at intervals from each other, so that your chances are much better to find one that shows what you want to see.
- Used with a memory card SDHC 4 GB, my wife took literary hundreds of pictures and filmed several minutes of film during a recent trip she had, before transferring to the computer. It was only several times during the 3 weeks trip.
- Also, a battery has lasted several days. In fact, it does not have to pay until, in the four or fifth day of the trip, the message came low on battery.
Negatives:
Nothing so important to give anything less than five stars.
- I would have liked a "short" focal length on the narrow end, so you can have a broader vision that sometimes there is not enough room to break large groups of people. However, most cameras have this focal length, which is just a small point and wish to take advantage of the cameras.
All said, I love this little camera.

Purchased for my son so he would stop borrowing my "professional" camera. Then I bought one for me because it is better to take pictures and video that I was!
At all the features I was looking for, but I particularly like the button for instant video recording, so I do not have to search around to try to change the way when I want the video. Aparently A SD card of 4 GB has 2. 2 hours of video, so my next family vacation I will not even need to bring a camcorder.
